The conference will take place in the center of the Freiburg old town in the buildings of the University of Freiburg. The location, shown on the map, is easily accessible from all parts of the city either by foot, public transport, or, for the real Freiburg experience, by bicycle. 

The city itself has so much to offer. A young diverse population, stunning nature, a bustling bar scene, and plenty of sunshine! You won't want to leave your sunglasses at home when you visit us in the sunniest city in Germany. How can I get to Freiburg?

Freiburg is extremely well connected and offers a number of means to arrive in the green city. 

For those coming from Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, and other European nations, travel by train to Freiburg (Breisgau) Hbf will most likely be the easiest option. The train station is well positioned in the center of the city, only a five-minute walk from the University buildings where the conference will be held. 

Travel by long-distance bus, especially Flixbus, is also a good option, with a wide range of Bus routes all across Europe passing through Freiburg. The buses also stop at the well positioned central train station.

No worries if you are coming from further away! Freiburg is located in the beautiful three-country corner with France Germany and Switzerland and has many options to get here from further afield.

The Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Euroairport is only 40 min away by bus, there are daily TGV services connecting Freiburg to Paris in under 3 hours, and Frankfurt airport is also easily accessible by German high-speed rail. The much smaller Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden airport is also close by and might be an option depending on your location.
