At the heart of the United Nations, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) aims to advance all three dimensions - economic, social, and environmental - of sustainable development. At FREIMUN 2023, ECOSOC will be playing an essential role, as it takes part in the #MUNRefugeeChallenge, and aims to find innovative solutions to some of the most pressing international issues.

The United Nations Security Council is a body of 15 member countries responsible for maintaining international peace and security. This Historical Committee will deal with past events of the Security Council in the time that they occurred.

It was created to facilitate discussions on global economic issues and coordinate policies between member nations. The G7 also addresses a range of other issues, including security, energy, and climate change.
